How can I keep in touch with my home or office ?
The hotel has a direct dial telephone facility in all the rooms. Moreover clients can receive or send faxes through reception on a 24 hour basis. A courtesy computer is available 24/7 at the reception area for hotel guests and free wi-fi is available in all areas of the hotel.

What kind of activity is there in the hotel ?
Sunflower Hotel is located close to shops, bars, restaurants, discos, casino and multiplex cinema. While the surrounding hotel area is a relatively quiet one, all the above amenities are within walking distance.

Does the Hotel have sea view rooms and what are the supplements ?
Some of the rooms on the higher floors have distant sea views. There are no supplements for such rooms.

Does the hotel offer a taxi or car hire service?
The hotel offers both taxi and car-hire services. More details in relation to costs can be easily obtained from Reception which is open 24 hours.

Does the hotel have a doctor on call ?
Yes the hotel has a doctor on call 24 hours a day.

What happens if I need hospitalisation whilst on holiday in Malta ?
Malta has an excellent health service. Hospitals are modern and supported by a regional network of health centres. Visitors from EU member states should make sure that they have a European Health Insurance card. Malta has reciprocal health agreements with Australia and the United Kingdom. Nationals of these countries, visiting the Islands for no longer than one month, are entitled to free medical and hospital care in both Malta and Gozo. Visitors receiving special medical treatment should bring a medical prescription or a letter of introduction from their family doctor, in case they need to purchase particular medicines.

Can I have a room with a balcony?
All rooms in the hotel have balconies.


Are there banks close to the hotel ?
The two major banks in Malta, Bank of Valletta and HSBC, are within walking distance from the hotel.

Are there any churches in the locality ?
Yes, there are two churches in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Both are within walking distance.

Should I rent a car what are the parking facilities available ?
The hotel has a small parking area right across the road. There are no parking fees for parking on public roads in the vicinity.

What is the distance from the hotel to the nearest buses station and were do buses go to ?
The bus terminus is less than 10 minutes walk away from the hotel, from where clients can get buses to Valletta (the Capital) or to main areas around the island. Some of the areas which buses run directly to are: Cirkewwa (Gozo Ferry) and Mellieha Bay one of the main sandy beaches, Golden Bay ( sandy beach area), Sliema,Rabat, Mdina, Crafts Village, Three Cities (Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua), Marsaxlokk (fishing village), San Anton Gardens(Gardens of the Presidential Palace), Marine Park, Mosta Village, Paradise Bay (sandy beach). How long will it take me to arrive at the hotel from the Airport ?
Transfer time from Malta International Airport in Gudja takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

How close is the hotel to the General Hospital ?
The hotel is approximately 20 minutes journey from Mater Dei Hospital. However, there are clinics in the local area.

What is the distance to the closest beach ?
A rocky beach is located just 300 metres away from the hotel. The majority of sandy beaches are located in northern part of the island. One can very easily get to these beaches, using buses which run every 20 minutes. It only takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to get to these locations.


What credit cards does the hotel accept?
The hotel accepts all major credit cards including American Express.

What can I eat since I have special dietary requirements ?
Whether you are on a low salt diet , gluten free diet, etc … our kitchen brigade would be more than happy to cater for any of your special dietary needs.

What time do I have to check out of my room ?
Check-out time is 11:00 am. Should you wish to extend your stay after that time, you may ask Reception. Additional charges are applicable for extensions after 11am. However, you may leave your baggage in the luggage room for subsequent collection.

What currencies does the hotel accept ?
Payment of bills can be made in all major currencies.

Can I bring my pet with me on holiday ?
The Hotel does not allow pets onto the Hotel property. However guide dogs are allowed.
